Five Unconventional Knowledge About Dip Powder Nails That You Can’t Learn From Books | Dip Powder Nails

Dip powder nails are nails that look just like natural nails but come with a longer life span, a glossier finish and an easier clean up. With this product you won't have to buy another set of acrylic nails anytime soon. The best part about these is that you don't have to apply the base coat separately like you would with regular acrylics. It's even better because it looks and feels so similar to natural nails. So, what are the advantages of using these?

The biggest difference between gel and dip powder nails is their curing method. Gel takes twice as long to dry as regular acrylics. On top of that, it requires UV lights to completely cure, so you basically sit your fingers in a UV lamp for at least two weeks before putting on your mani. This means two weeks of cleaning up and an added investment in two weeks worth of manicure supplies. If you love spending time at the salon and love your manicure, then this is definitely a viable option for you.

But why would you go through all that trouble? Simply put, with regular acrylics, your nails will start to chip and break off within two months. This is because most artificial nails are constructed from too much acrylic gel. It's not a bad thing though, because the more acrylic gel a nail has, the harder it is to cut and manipulate, hence the longer it'll last. With dip nails, however, the nails stay together for much longer than with regular acrylics because the dip bonds the top coat of nail polish to the nail base, forming a strong bond.

Another reason to get your hands on some dip powder nails instead of regular acrylics is because you can spend less time with the salon mani. If you cut your man short, you can still put on your mani, but you'll have to spend a lot of extra time removing the excess polish from your nails and waiting for them to dry so that you can put the top coat on. With dip powder nails, you can simply put on your top coat, remove the excess, and then apply a thin layer of your preferred cuticle oil and forget about it until you're ready to pick up your nail scissors again.

Finally, with regular acrylics, it's hard to remove your nail polish if you use your fingernails, making it a little bit trickier to master the dip process without the help of a salon mani expert. This makes it more appealing to get your nails done with the dip method, which is perfect if you're planning on having your nails done frequently. With regular acrylics, you have to use acetone to remove the nail polish, then soak your fingers in rubbing alcohol to remove any leftover residue, and then dip your fingers in nail polish remover and shake off excess residue before applying another coat. These days, with dip powder nails, all you have to do is dip your finger in the powder, shake off excess powder, buff your finger until it looks just right, then apply your nail polish as normal.

The good news is that dip powder manicures are great for people who can't handle regular gel manicures or who simply can't wait to grow out their existing nails. Even people with damaged or chipped nails can grow out new strong and healthy nails in just three weeks. In fact, many people prefer this kind of manicure to regular manicures because there's no filing, sanding, or covering of the nail. It's easy, quick, and convenient – especially when you compare it to traditional nail salon visits. You don't need to leave the house to get a beautiful look – you can go to the nail salon and have your beautiful nails done for you in three weeks time.
