If you are interested in becoming more artistic with your own art, then you should look into stamping nail art. Nail art is simply an art form where you paint or ink your own natural nails and then apply them to a piece of jewelry. You can add glitter or gems, and basically have as creative of designs and looks as you would like. Nail art is a fun and exciting way to add something original to your own nails.
One reason why people enjoy stamping nail art so much is because it is so easy and simple to do. You don't have to be a master carver or anything like that. All you need is a good set of art tools, some nail polish and some old clothes.
To start off with your nail art project, you will need to get hold of a nice long strip of nail polish along with at least two different colors. You will also need a glue gun or pencil, some very thin and wide strips of either cotton cloth or sponges, and some natural nails. It is recommended that you purchase new natural nails and not the ones you are used to using for your daily activities, as you will want something a bit fancier when you begin stamping.
After you have your supplies, you are ready to start off. Take the natural nails you have chosen and carefully snip off about half an inch of the end of each nail. Then you will want to gently file the nail until it is nice and smooth. When you have finished filing, you will want to soak the natural nails in some sort of nail conditioner so they do not get too raw and damp during the process. Let them soak for about twenty-four hours before starting to stamp. This will make sure that the nail dries well and you do not ruin your new artwork.
Start stamping from the edge of the nail head. Do this on one nail at a time, and try not to be rushed while you are doing the next one. If you find that you are having trouble with which nail to start with, you may want to switch places. Continue stamping in the same spot until you are comfortable with the entire picture. Once you are satisfied with your work, remove the natural nail and apply your new artful one.
Before you begin stamping, you will want to have a towel or washcloth nearby so that your feet can get some relief from all of the paint and you can clean up any spills. You may want to have someone there to help you. The more people you have helping, the quicker you will get the process down. Once your nails have dried up, you are ready to enjoy your new artistic masterpiece.
