Things That Make You Love And Hate Nail Polish | Nail Polish

Nail polish has been around since ancient times, and is known as the “blend of colors”. There are a wide variety of nail polish formulas available for today's cosmetic users. Nail polish is usually available in basic white or two shades of pink. The basic formula used to manufacture nail polish was revised repeatedly over time to improve its cosmetic outcomes and to inhibit early cracking or peeling of the nails. It is still available in various popular formulations.

The principle components in nail polish include a base coat or top coat, an oxidizing agent, an excipient, and color enhancers. The base coat or top coat is normally oil-based while the excretory part is water-based. Most nail polish includes the oxidizing agent called “resin”. A variety of additional additives are also available in different brand names.

A popular acrylic manicure involves applying a thin layer of nail polish, followed by a clear top coat. The acrylic top coat is intended to keep the nail polish from coming off the nails overnight. Most acrylic products include an oxidizing agent such as ferricyanide. This agent is supposed to prevent early cracking of the cuticles by providing a protection barrier. Most manicure kits include a plastic bag in which the top coat will dry overnight.

Another popular manicure is the “web” design, which involves applying a thin layer of nail polish, letting it dry and then dipping the dipped fingers into an adhesive strip, which holds the design on the nails for the final step. “Web” designs can be achieved with or without the use of the plastic bag. Some manicure kits include a special drying strip for the application of the web design. The acrylics or oils that you apply to your nails will become part of the design. The design will dry to the touch and will peel away as normal skin oil does.

Nail lacquers come in various shades and intensities. Lacquers provide a perfect finish for both formal and informal wear. You can change your nail polish color anytime simply by purchasing a new nail lacquer. Most nail lacquers are available at a discount, so it is easy and economical to change nail colors often. You can even make nail colors to match your existing fingernails!

When you purchase your next polish product, make sure to read the instructions carefully. In order for proper application, you need to take your time and apply just the right amount of product. After applying the base coat, you will need to let it dry completely before you begin any other coats. Follow the directions on the bottle carefully and you will enjoy the beautiful look of your nails for many seasons to come!
